Our clients wanted to bring their brand up to date with the digital world it lived in. And the idea was simple, Parcel Compare that works for you. The aim was to create a brand that showed the user how helpful their team was through a suite of characters guiding and helping throughout every step of the customer journey.
All shapes and sizes
Just like the parcels we post the characters come in an array of shapes and sizes, from Heavy load packages to fragile Vinyl envelopes to gift wrapped boxes.
We developed and illustration style of the characters to have a hand drawn feel influenced by the scribbling of addresses found on parcels. This gave the characters a much more approachable and friendly feel.
We created a simple colour palette using strong digital colours to contrast the hand drawn style and bring it more into the digital world.
To give the characters extra depth we wanted them to interact with their surroundings every now and then. This could be by pulling a product into shot, carrying part of the text on a graphic or pointing you in the right direction on the website.
This continued to build the idea of a personalised team of helpers dedicated to the user.
We were also tasked with the UX/UI of the website. Working closely with their strategy team we helping simplify the Parcel Compare journey and maximise functionality of their site.
Designing the site allowed us to develop more elements for the brands visual language. As well as the characters created more 3d illustrations acting as iconography for the site.
